Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said that he is content with the 1-1 draw against Real Madrid although he hoped his side would register a victory over their arch-rivals at home. "Mathematically we have taken a step towards the title (but) we must keep on working," Rijkaard was quoted as saying by Barca's official website after the match. "We played with such desire that we were a little over eager at certain moments of the match. We created a lot of chances which makes me very happy," he added. Real Madrid overcame an early red card and a one-goal deficit to hold arch-rivals Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at the Nou Camp in the Spanish League on Saturday. Barcelona took the lead in the 21st minute through Ronaldinho's penalty-kick but fellow Brazilian Ronaldo equalized nine minutes from the break. The result preserved Barca's 11-point lead at the top of the league and moved them closer to retaining their title. On the other hand, Real Madrid boss Juan Lopez Caro praised Los Meringues' efforts during the encounter. "It is necessary to congratulate the players, they were spectacular with a discipline and an order," Caro was quoted as saying by Real's official website. "I feel very proud because they have demonstrated they can work very well as a group, and they were generous in their efforts," he added.
