Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has admitted to being in contact with Kia Joorabchian, an Iranian businessman who is aiming to take over West Ham United. Scolari is a long-time friend of Joorabchian and confirmed he has been conversing often with the Iranian. "Kia is my friend, we have been talking a lot recently, in fact almost every day," he told News of the World on Sunday. "He has approached me to work for him before and every offer he makes is respectful and deserves my attention," said the Brazilian tactician. Scolari, who turned down the England job last summer, is widely thought to be one of the top coaches in the world, and would be a great catch for the English club. "Right now, I am still coaching Portugal but no door is closed," said the 2002 World Cup winning coach. Despite rumors Joorabchian would want to install his own management team, Scolari refused to comment on whether he would replace the current West Ham coach Alan Pardew. "I often talk about jobs with Kia," he said. "If something was to happen in the future I am sure we would discuss it." West Ham are going through a rough period this season under Pardew. The Hammers won only one of their first six games in the Premiership this season and currently hold 15th spot in the table.
