Egypt almost snapped their losing streak but ended in up losing 3-2 to South Korea in the World League on Saturday. Korea won the first game 25-19 before Egypt responded with a 25-21 victory in the second one. Korea regained their lead in the third game 25-20 but Egypt leveled the score again with a 25-21 win in the fourth. In the final game, Egypt came close to snatch the win when they were leading 11-9 but Korea ended the visitors' hopes after they won 15-13. Korea maintained their third place with 12 points in Group D while Egypt lie in the bottom on nine points. In the other match, Cuba defeated Bulgaria 3-2 away to lead the group with 17 points, just one ahead of their match opponents.
