Egypt slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Bulgaria in their World League debut on Saturday. The African champions kicked-off the game in style grabbing a 17-12 lead and looking on their way to winning the first game. But Bulgaria produced a remarkable comeback to snatch the first game 26-24. Egypt, who are the first African team to take part in this tournament, fought the Bulgarians in the second game yet the hosts registered a 25-21 victory. A drastic fall in Egypt's physical and mental shape handed Bulgaria an easy 25-15 win in the third game. Egypt are drawn in Group D that also includes Cuba and South Korea. The Pharaohs will play their second match in Bulgaria on Sunday.
