Egypt received their seventh consecutive defeat in the World League as they lost to Cuba 3-1 in Cairo. Cuba eased past Egypt 25-14 in the first game before snatching the second 25-21 on Friday. African champions Egypt grabbed a hard-fought 25-23 victory in the third game and looked on their way to tie the match. But the Cubans restored their top form and thrashed the hosts 25-11 in the fourth game. Debuting Egypt, yet to win a match in the league, root Group D that also includes South Korea and Bulgaria.
