Ahli are on the brink of re-signing international striker Ahmed Belal from Konyaspor, the Egyptian champions said on Sunday. Marketing director Adli Al-Qayei told FilGoal.com that Belal reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the Turkish side on mutual consent and that he will be back in Cairo on Monday. Ahli are set to land Belal in return of slashing the late payment $300,000 at Konyaspor dated back to last summer when they signed 26-year-old. Belal was Ahli's top-scorer in 2002 and 2003 with a total tally of 34 goals. But he found the net only once in the 2004-2005 campaign before heading to Turkey. In January, he was loaned to Ankaragucu before returning to Konyaspor in the off-season.
