The Egyptian international slotted home two minutes into the injury time as Ahli won their first title in the new season. This is Ahli's second successive Super Cup and the third in their history. The game was a repeat of last season's Super Cup when Ahli beat Enppi in the closing stages of the game to secure the title. Magdi Abdul-Atti curled a free-kick in the fourth minute the sailed past the wall but Al-Hadari dived to palm it away.
Abou-Treika Six minutes later, Abdul-Atti latched on to a deft through pass before firing into Hadari's body with the goal at his mercy. Enppi had their third chance in the 14th minute when Ahmed Abdul-Zaher ghosted behind Shadi Mohamed, controlled a long ball and unleashed a powerful ball that Hadari easily saved. Ahli's first threat came in the 34th minute when Abou-Treika pinned a close-range shot just over the bar. But the most dangerous opportunity was three minutes later when Emad Meteb arrowed a low shot past Enppi keeper Mostafa Kamal but the Egyptian international saw his effort cannoned off the post. In the second-half, Enppi failed to maintain their pace and allowed Ahli to take charge of the game. Though, the Egyptian double winner couldn't find the net till the 92nd minute. Abou-Treika received an inch-perfect cross from the right flank but his initial shot was blocked by Kamal. But the Ahli playmaker controlled the ball again and buried it home on the rebound past the stranded Kamal. The List of Super Cup Champions
