Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef said he is set to leave the club after coach Manuel Cajuda announced that the Egyptian international is no longer a part of his plans. "I have decided to part ways with Zamalek," Abdul-Monsef told FilGoal.com on Sunday. "I will be considering offers from other Egyptian and foreign clubs with Zamalek administration before deciding on my destination." Cajuda told Abdul-Monsef to look for another club and stressed that he won't field him next season even if the administration forced him into the squad. Abdul-Monsef has been under heavy criticism from media and club fans because of his below-par displays over the past seasons especially against arch-rivals Ahli. But Abdul-Monsef, who was a member in Egypt's African Cup winning squad earlier this year, said he wasn't the reason behind Zamalek's recent defeats in the Cairo derby. "The consecutive defeats against Ahli have nothing to do with the current situation," he said. "Zamalek was too weak to beat Ahli in the recent years and there were matches we lost to them and I wasn't even playing." Zamalek have been close to signing Moroccan international goalkeeper Tarek Jarmouni but the deal was halted because of the player's price. The Cairo club are also handing Ghanaian international goalkeeper George Owu a trial period. They hope the Asanti Gold player can be a good replacement for first-choice goalie Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed who hasn't recovered from a knee injury.
