French international defender Lilian Thuram has confirmed he has no intention of playing for Juventus in Serie B next season and would be pleased with a move to Barcelona. "There is only a very slim chance that I will play for Juventus in Serie B," Thuram was quoted as saying by Calcio Italia magazine. The 34-year-old player has been with the Italian club for five seasons, but after Friday's Calciopoli verdicts Thuram has no interest letting his skills rust in the lower league. "For now, I haven't spoken too much with the club about my future, but I do hope that there is enough time to find a new team so that I can stay in the top-flight," he said. At the trial, the Old Lady were relegated, handed a 30-point deduction and stripped of its last two league titles, and Thuram is just one of the club's stars now looking for new employers. Thuram, who has now retired from international football following the World Cup final defeat to Italy, has been linked to Spanish champions to Barcelona. The former Monaco and Parma defender has voiced his consent with a shift to the UEFA Champions League title holders. "We will see," he said. "Anyway should it be Barcelona this is a good destination," Thuram added.
