Blackburn set Mido bid

English Premiership side Blackburn Rovers have set a $ 6.5 million bid to sign Ahmed Hossam 'Mido' from AS Roma.
Mido previously snubbed an offer to join Blackburn, but boss Mark Hughes said he is still hopeful that a new four-year offer worth $ 2.2 million a season can help in tempting the Egyptian international striker.
"I'm still hopeful and still pursuing him until the matter is dead in the water," Hughes was quoted as saying by The Sun on Saturday.
Mido, a current Roma player, has impressed during his 18-month loan at Tottenham Hotspur.
But the London club said they won't move to secure Mido's services on a permanent deal after they captured Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov from Leverkusen.
However Mido's agent Mino Raiola said that no concrete deal has been reached yet with Blackburn.
"There isn't an agreement to give an answer immediately, when there will be news we will announce it," Raiola said.
