English giants Liverpool have signed Brazilian left back Fabio Aurelio from Valencia on a free transfer, the Premiership side announced on Wednesday. Aurelio, who put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract, played under Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez during his spell with Valencia in Spanish La Liga. "Fabio is a player with a lot of quality and he is a really good signing for us," Benitez told the club's official website. "His technical ability is fantastic and he has a great left foot and provides the team with a lot of options. He has a really good mentality and he is a winner," Benitez praised the 26-year-old defender. Meanwhile, Chilean winger Mark Gonzalez has been given the green light to play with Reds in the Premiership after he was granted a work permit. Gonzalez was on loan to Real Sociedad last season after his initial request to obtain a work permit was turned down. "This is very good news for us and I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mark Gonzalez
