Recently-retired Ahli skipper Hadi Khashaba revealed that his ultimate ambition is to serve as club president, given his interest in the administrative side of the football world. Khashaba, who lifted Ahli's Egyptian league trophy this season, told FilGoal.com that he was going to tour a host of European clubs to get immersed in their administrative strategies to see what can be applied within the Ahli administration. The former Ahli midfielder insisted that his presidency wasn't far-fetched, given that he might enter the club board during the coming rounds.
On the other hand, Ahli winger Sayed Abdul-Hafiz insisted that decided to retire out of respect to his history in Egyptian football. “I talked with my friends and family before taking the decision which i believe helps me salvage my football career," Abdul-Hafiz told FilGoal.com exclusively on Saturday. Both Abdul-Hafiz and Khashaba retired after Ahli won their 31st Egyptian title a few days ago.
