Ismailia - Yasser El-Sherif: Strasbourg player Hosni Abd-Rabou insisted that he won't return to Egypt next season and said that he will resume his career in Europe, adding that he doesn't know anything about Ahli's desire to sign him. "I heard that Adli Al-Qaeyi traveled to France last week to negotiate a deal with Strasbourg, but I haven't met him and I don't know anything about that visit," Abd-Rabou told FilGoal.com exclusively. Speculations grew over the weekend that the Ahli marketing director secretly flew to France to hold negotiations with Strasbourg for Abd-Rabou, especially since the player's contract has a relegation release clause. Strasbourg relegated to the second division after they finished 19th in the French Ligue 1 this season, however Abd-Rabou insisted that he doesn't want to go back to Egyptian football as he is determined to continue playing in Europe. "I'm waiting for the transfer market to re-open to find a new club through my agent, and if I don't agree with any European club I'll continue playing for Strasbourg," Abd-Rabou said. The 22-year-old joined the French outfit last summer, and was then joined by former Ahli player Ahmed Abou-Mosallam in the transfer window, but he didn't play with Egypt in the African Cup of Nations after he suffered a three months injury in January. Abd-Rabou is currently training with his former club Ismaili to keep his fitness after the French League ended on May 13th.
