Ismaili deny receiving Strasbourg offer for Fathi
Published in FilGoal on 18 - 04 - 2006

Ismailia-Yasser Al Sherif: Ismaili treasurer Osman Ateya denied reports that the club had received any bid from French club Strasbourg to acquire the services of defender for Ahmed Fathi.
"We have received no offers for Fathi," Ateya told FilGoal.com in an exclusive interview on Tuesday.
An Egyptian newspaper had reported that Ismaili received a $6.1 million offer for Fathi from Strasbourg, the team for which Egyptians Hosni Abd-Rabou and Ahmed Abou-Mosallam play their trade.
"We have no objections to selling Fathi if we receive a European offer because Fathi's future is of importance to us," he added.

However, he insisted that the club won't be selling Fathi to any other Egyptian club specially Ahli or Zamalek who both have shown interest in snapping up the Egypt international.
The 22-year-old Fathi has been a pivotal member of Ismaili's squad since rising from the youth ranks in the 2001-2002 season.
Fathi was also a member of Egypt's African Cup of Nations winning squad earlier this year.
On the other hand, Ismaili suspended midfielder Mohamed Gouda for assaulting teammate Abdullah Al-Saied following the team's game against Aluminum in the league.
