Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira insisted that he will do his best to help his side beat his former club, Arsenal, in their highly anticipated face-off in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. "At times destiny serves up some surprises. Obviously for me it will be a special match, seeing that I'll be returning to Highbury as part of the opposing team," Vieira was quoted as saying by the official UEFA website on Friday. "But beyond that I'll be thinking only of winning," he added. The Champions League draw, that took place on Friday, paired Arsenal with Juventus, with the first-leg on March 28th, while the second-leg will take place on April fifth.
.. and in Juve's colors Vieira, who played for nine years at Highbury and captained the team throughout the final few years, moved to Juventus in summer 2005 for $24-million, where he succeeded in landing a permanent spot quickly in Fabio Capello's side. Meanwhile, Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein said that he welcomed the challenge and that he was glad to see Vieira back at Highbury. "They don't come more glamorous than that, do they? We thought Real Madrid was something special and this looks to be a very enthralling match. "It will be nice to see Patrick back at Highbury. We will be up for it and I think he will get a very warm reception. He had nine great years with us," Dein said. Juventus last played against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League second-group stage in the 2001/2002 season where the Premiership beat the Italian powerhouse with a 3-2 aggregate victory. Their only other encounter was in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup back in the 1979/1980 season.
