The Italian international's last-gasp goal cancelled out an early opener from Rodrigo Taddei. The result left Inter Milan third with 59 points, leading fifth-place Roma on four points. Fiorentina come fourth on 56. Roma broke the deadlock as early as the ninth minute thanks to a brilliant solo effort from Brazilian midfielder Mancini He raced down the left, cut into the box to round Materazzi and nipped the ball in between Pierre Wome's legs only for Taddei to steer the ball into the back of the net.
