Enppi striker Amr Zaki completed a move to Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow for a fee of 1.7 million euros, the player said on Tuesday. The Egypt international, who made the announcement in Al Bayt Baytak (Make Yourself at Home) show on the Egyptian TV on Tuesday night, said he will leave to Moscow right away as the Russian league kicks-off in March. Enppi's football director Alaa Abdul-Sadeq confirmed the news to Filgoal.com, noting the player's share from the deal will be 550,000 euros. The 22-year-old Zaki revealed negotiations with Lokomotiv have been running since he was participating with the Egyptian team in the African Cup of Nations that concluded on February 10th.
The prolific goal-getter played a pivotal role in Egypt's record-fifth African title. Lokomotiv finished the 2005 Russian league in second place on 56 points, only five adrift of champions CSKA Moscow, allowing them to participate in European competitions next season. The Russian giants will commence their season by facing Kryliya Sovetov on March 19th.
