Premier League champions Chelsea were drawn to face Newcastle United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Chelsea have a chance to avenge their elimination from last year's FA Cup at the hands of Newcastle when they host them at Stamford Bridge. The Magpies have a difficult task to achieve as Blues have not lost at home in two years. European champions Liverpool been handed an away tie at Birmingham while Middlesbrough, who have never won the Cup, will visit one-time FA Cup champions Charlton Athletic. The winners from the Aston Villa-Manchester City replay tie are set to play the winners from the Bolton Wanderers-West Ham who also have to replay their round of 16 match. The quarter-finals matches will take place from the 20th till the 23rd of March.
