Abou Tréka, Hassan, Hadari et Gomaa dans l'équipe type d'Afrique

La commission technique de la Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) a choisit quatre joueurs égyptiens dans l'équipe type de la Coupe d'Afrique des Nations 2006.
Les quatre joueurs sont le gardien Essam Al-Hadari, le défenseur Waël Gomaa, le milieu Ahmed Hassan et l'attaquant Mohamed Abou Tréka.
Voici l'équipe type d'Afrique
Essam Al-Hadari (Egypte) – Emmanuel Eboue (Côte d'Ivoire), Waël Gomaa (Egypte), Rigobert Song (Cameroun), Ismaïl Taye Taïwo (Nigeria) – Stephen Appiah (Ghana), Pascal Feindouno (Guinée), Ahmed Hassan (Egypte) – Samuel Eto'o (Cameroun), Didier Drogba (Côte d'Ivoire), Mohamed Abou Tréka (Egypte).
Il est à noter qu'Ahmed Hassan a été nommé meilleur joueur de la CAN, Essam Al-Hadari meilleur gardien et le nigérian John Obi Mikel meilleur jeune joueur.
