Saudi club Al-Wehda honorary member Mnahi Al-Daagani criticized coach Lotfi Al-Benzarti for the defeat to Ittihad Jeddah and for fielding Egyptian midfielder Sayed Abdul-Hafiz against the Asian Champions. "Although Ittihad is a big team, Al-Wehda could have won especially when we scored the opener. But fielding Abdul-Hafiz for Hani Al-Jafri slipped the victory away," Al-Daagani told Al-Watan newspaper. "Abdul-Hafiz underwent two knee operations and he was sidelined for a full season. He hasn't been ready to take part in this game." The former Ahli star made his debut with Al-Wehda during their 2-1 defeat against Ittihad in the 14th round of the domestic league. Al-Daagani accused the coach of not knowing how to use his substitutes or how a game should be managed. "Not only that, he also moved Abdul-Hafiz to the left flank while he used to play on the right. If he doesn't know what positions his players play in this will be a disaster," he added. Al-Wehda are placed fourth in the Saudi standings with 18 points from 14 games, 13 points adrift of leaders Al-Shabab.
