Scans showed that Ahli midfielder Mohamed Shawki's knee injury wasn't serious and that it wont rule him out from Egypt's Afrian Cup of Nation campaign. Egypt boss Hassan Shehata also insisted that Shawki was in good shape and that he will play a vital role in their run for the cup. “Shawki's injury isn't serious, he only needs four or five days to recuperate and I insist that he will play with us in the African Cup and wont be replaced by any other players,” Shehata told Filgoal.com. The talented midfielder picked up the injury in Egypt's last training after going into a tough tackle with teammate Amr Zaki on Tuesday. “Shawki needs to undergo therapy for four days and wont have any problems in playing the African Cup,” Egypt doctor Ahmed Maged said. On another hand, Tottenham Hotspur's Ahmed Hassan “Mido” will arrive in Egypt on Thursday and will join his teammates on Friday along with Strasbourg's Hosni Abd-Rabou. The Egyptian team will return to Cairo coming from Alex on Friday and will resume training on Saturday.
