Top-seeded Lleyton Hewitt came from a set behind in his opening match in the Adelaide International to beat Czech Republic's Jan Hernych on Tuesday. The Aussie world number four dropped the first set 4-6 before but rallied back to beat the 27-year-old Czech 6-2, 6-4 and set up a second round match against Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber. Earlier on Tuesday, teenage Briton Andy Murray also needed three sets to see off Italian opponent Paolo Lorenzi and advance to the second round where he will face sixth-seeded Tomas Berdych who beat Argentine Agustin Calleri. Third-seeded Tommy Robredo, fourth-seeded Mario Ancic, fifth-seeded James Blake and seventh-seeded Jarkko Nieminen all secured passage to the second round, while eighth-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela was upset by Croatia's Ivo Karlovic. Robredo is scheduled to open the singles second round action on Wednesday against France's Florent Serra, while Ancic faces Belgium's Xavier Malisse.
