Sao Paulo striker Marcello Amoroso posted a double as the South American Champions downed Ittihad Jeddah 3-2 on Wednesday to book their place in the Club World Championship (CWC) final. The Brazilian international broke the deadlock early in the first-half while Ittihad skipper Mohamed Nour put his side AT level after the half-hour mark. Amoroso restored the lead for the Brazilian club two minutes after re-start and a trademark penalty-kick from goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni made it three. Asian footballer of the year Hamad Al-Montasheri scored the consolation goal for the Asian and Arab Champions midway through the second period. Sao Paulo will take on the winners from European Champions Liverpool and Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa, while the losers will play Ittihad who will be searching for the bronze medal. Amoroso put Sao Paulo ahead in the 16th minute when he controlled a neat cross and fired a powerful drive past Ittihad guardian Mabrouk Zayed. In the 33rd minute, Nour equalized for Ittihad when he latched on to a loose ball to poke home after Ceni fumbled a close-range shot from Mohamed Kallon. Amoroso reregistered his second goal of the match as he converted Cicinho's low cross into the back of the net in the 47th minute. Ceni stretched the lead 10 minutes later when he stepped up to slam an unstoppable spot-kick into the right top corner of Zaid's net. Al-Montashari narrowed the gap eight minutes after the hour when he guided a lethal header to beat Ceni's dive.
