Arab Union Football Association (UAFA) president, Prince Sultan Bin Fahd, lifted the one-year ban imposed on Ittihad Jeddah defender Osama Al-Muwalad. Al-Muwalad was suspended for kicking a Moroccan cameraman after his team's defeat to Wydad Casablanca in the Arab Champions League (ACL) round of 16. However, the suspension was lifted after top officials in Saudi Arabia intervened, local newspapers reported on Wednesday. The 21-year-old defender served only ten days of his suspension. With the ban lifted, Al-Muwalad will be able to participate in Ittihad's Club World Championship (CWC) semi-final match against Sao Paulo of Brazil later on Wednesday. On the other hand, Ittihad coach Anghel Iordanescu warned the three players that picked up yellow cards in the encounter against Ahli from being cautioned against Sao Paulo to avoid being suspended for the last game of the CWC, whether it is the final or third place match. Ittihad's three players who have yellow cards are: Ahmed Al-Doukhi, Saud Kariri and Mohamed Kallon.
