Ismaili and Wadi Degla have been eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup round of 16. Former Champions League winners Ismaili were beaten 1-0 at Angola's Petro Atletico to lose by the same scoreline on aggregate. Atletico's only goal was scored by defender Abdul, courtesy of an assist by ex-Ahli star Gilberto. In Mali, Egypt's other representatives Degla were unlucky to lose on penalties to Djoliba, who won 2-0 on the day to make it 2-2 on aggregate. Champions League holders Ahli will now be the number one candidates to win the Confederation Cup, having been surprisingly ousted from Africa's top competition. Petro Atletic 1-0 Ismaili
