Zamalek claimed their first win under new manager Mido, beating a resilient Minya side 1-0 in the Egyptian Premier League. After one hour of one-sided play, a scruffy second-half strike by Ahmed Ali handed the Whites a hard-fought win. Despite the victory, Zamalek remain four points adrift of joint-leaders Petrojet and Ismaili, but have a game in hand.
