Egypt and Ahli superstar Mohamed Abou-Treika says he will hang up his boots at next month's Club World Cup in Morocco. After announcing his decision to retire at the end of the season, the 35-year-old inspired Ahli to another CAF Champions League title to book a place in FIFA's Club World Cup for the fifth time. With numerous requests urging him to back down, the legendary Abou-Treika says he has made his final decision to end a glorious football career. "I will retire in Morocco when I can still stand on my feet. It's a difficult decision but I am totally convinced with it," Treika said. "I won't wait to see the day when people ask me to quit. I want to quit on top. "I have been under immense pressure as people constantly ask me not to retire, but I hope everyone respects my decision."
