Ivory Coast star Yaya Toure is the only African named in FIFA's Ballon d'Or shortlist among other 22 contenders for the World Player of the Year award. Manchester City's Toure has been included in the list for the second year running alongside English Premier League fellows Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez, Eden Hazard and Mesut Ozil. Lionel Messi, who claimed the title in the last four years, and Cristiano Ronaldo remain the main contenders as the Liga duo has been also joined by Real Madrid record signing Gareth Bale. Bayern Munich's sextet Franck Ribery, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben - alongside Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski - were all named. The winner will be unveiled on January 13 in Zurich.
