Ghana are set to miss key holding midfielder Rabiu Mohamed when they clash with Egypt in next month's World Cup qualifying playoff. The Kuban Krasnodar midfielder picked up an injury in his side's Europa League tie against St. Gallen and his manager expects a lengthy layoff. "The injury of Rabiu is unpleasant for us. Maybe he will be out of action for 5-6 weeks," Kuban coach Dorinel Munteanu said. "We just got this player. We were very much looking forward to his contribution to the team so we have to look for another option." The absence of Rabiu, who is Ghana's first-choice man in midfield along with Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah, is rearded as a massive blow for the Black Stars ahead of the decisive Egypt showdown. Ghana host Egypt in Kumasi on October 15 first leg of the playoff.
