Conversely, Egypt center-half Adam El-Abd was confined to the bench throughout Brighton's Championship 1-1 home draw with Millwall despite being a regular for his side last season. Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazi has been ruled out of the 5-2 Serie A thumping victory over Genoa as he is still nursing a knee injury, but is expected to make his comeback next week. Lierse duo Hossam Ghaly and Ahmed Samir Farag played full 90 minutes in their side's 0-0 Belgium league stalemate at Mechelen. In Saudi Arabia, Ibrahim Salah enjoyed a stunning night with Orouba when the newly-promoted club sprang a surprise by beating giants Ittihad Jeddah 1-0 at home, with the Egyptian starting the game.
