Fiorentina center-half Ahmed Hegazi is facing two weeks on the sidelines after injuring his knee during Egypt's friendly win over Uganda last week, the Serie A side said on their website. Hegazi, 22, had been already out of action for nearly five months after damaging the anterior knee ligament last year, before making his comeback in May. While allaying fears of injury aggravation by dismissing significant damage to his knee, Fiorentina said the Egypt international will be sidelined for two weeks. This means that Hegazi is going to miss both legs of the UEFA Europa League qualifier against Switzerland's Grasshoppers, in addition to the opening league games against Catania and Genoa. Hegazi has been on Fiorentina's books for more than a year now, having joined from Ismaili in the summer of 2012. He featured as a starter in most of his side's pre-season matches.
