Round-up: Egyptians overseas
Published in FilGoal on 10 - 05 - 2013

Performance of the week
Mohamed Abou-Treika emphasizes his love for scoring dramatic goals by grabbing a 95th minute strike that sent Bani Yas to the Gulf Cup of Champions final at the expense of Najran.
Hull promoted!
Finally, the Egyptian-owned Hull City will be playing in the English Premier League next season after securing second place in the Championship, much to the delight of Ahmed Elmohamady!
With Geddo injured, Elmohamady played 90 minutes while Ahmed Fathi came on as a late sub in a 2-2 draw with Cardiff, a result that would have meant little if not for the defeat of Hull's rivals Watford to Leeds.

Mohamed Salah grabbed a goal against Chelsea, only to see his side Basel lose 3-1 at Stamford Bridge to wave goodbye to the UEFA Europa League.
Mohamed Al-Nenni also played against the European champions as both Egypt starlets featured later in league matches against Sion (1-0 win) and Zurich (3-1 defeat).
In Belgium, Mostafa Shebeita and Ahmed Samir Farag played 90 minutes for Lierse, who coasted to a 3-0 victory over Kortrijk in the Belgian Europa League playoff.
Egyptian-based striker Saladin Said, the Ethiopian on loan from Wadi Degla, scored for Lierse.
Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka' couldn't help his team Rio Ave avoid a 1-0 Portuguese league defeat at Olhanense.
Trials
Two Egyptians were out on trial last week, with midfield wonderkid Saleh Gomaa impressing in two friendlies with the Anderlecht youth team.
Gomaa (number 10) helps Anderlecht U-21s come back to beat Beveren 3-2
Gomaa scores twice as Anderlecht youth beat Lierse reserves 5-1
Winger Ahmed Refaat is another Egyptian who had two trials at Basel and Sevilla during the past few days.
