In the UAE, Mohamed Abou-Treika played two games for Bani Yas, who beat Bahrain's Muharraq on penalties to reach the Gulf Clubs Championship semis before drawing 2-2 with Dhafra in the league. In Saudi Arabia, manager Tarek Yehia saw his side Hajr relegated to the second division after losing 2-1 at Shabab.
