Zamalek full-back Mohamed Abdul-Shafi has been omitted from Egypt's squad for the friendly game against Chile on Wednesday. Abdul-Shafi, 27, is nursing a hamstring injury he sustained during the Whites' league victory over Ittihad last weekend. He was initially named for the warm-up game by Egypt manager Bob Bradley two days ago as Ahli's Ahmed Shedid is the only player in the left-back position now. Egypt take on Chile at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid as the Pharaohs gear up for the World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe next March.
