Al-Wasl coach Guy Lacombe said it is ‘not his problem' that Shikabala is still absent from training after his injury, implying that the Egyptian's future is unclear. Shikabala has been nursing a thigh injury for over a month and has chosen to be treated in Cairo, but has failed to report back on time to his Emirate club this week. Reports suggested that Al-Wasl are ready to ditch their on-loan star for the sake of Cameroonian ace Achille Emana, who is set to join the Cheetahs from Ahli Dubai. “It is not my problem that Shikabala is still out," Frenchman Lacombe told reporters. “Even if he is supposed to leave or stay, it is a matter that belongs to the board. It is not my job to make sure that all players are present. It is their job. “As for Emana, he has not signed yet but I can confirm that he will be with us in the next game against Al-Nasr. He is a great addition that should fill in the void left by Shikabala and Rashed Eissa." Shikabala, whose loan with Al-Wasl is supposed to end in June, has been a key figure of the Dubai club since his switch from Zamalek last summer.
