Shikabala's loan spell at Al-Wasl could be cut short as the Emirate club contemplate terminating the Egyptian midfielder's contract. Shikabala, on a season-long loan from Zamalek, has been nursing a thigh injury recently and it was reported that he failed to rejoin his club on time after being treated at home. Emirate reports suggested that the Dubai club are set to ditch the 26-year-old, while manage Guy Lacombe implied that the winger's spell could be over. “We were hoping to keep Shikabala with us but I'm afraid this has become difficult," Frenchman Lacombe told Emirate media. Shikabala made 15 appearances for Al-Wasl since joining in the summer, scoring five times for the club.
