EGYPT'S First Lady Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak has met with the President of the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA), Sadako Ogata, who is currently on an official visit to attend the launching of the Egypt- Japan University for Science and Technology (E-JUST). During the meeting, Mrs. Mubarak said that the E-JUST, which is sponsored and financially supported by 15 Egyptian and Japanese governmental and educational agencies, aimed to establish a close scientific partnership between the two countries. She says that the E-JUST, which targets world class research and teaching quality with regional and global reach, is considered a scientific bridge between Japan and Africa. Likewise, Ogata praised Mrs. Mubarak's efforts in community development and education upgrade in Egypt.
