Ismaili's keeper Essam el-Hadari confirms that he is fully committed to the Canal club, explaining that his statements about his desire to return to Al-Ahly have been misinterpreted. The former Ahly goalie has said that he'd like to return to the Cairo club, even for free. Consequently, el-Hadari has incurred the wrath of Ismaili's officials, who have decided to suspend him from the Dervishes' forthcoming match against the Red Devils and fine him as well. But the 37-year-older has been quick to ease the tension. "I was misunderstood when I said I wanted to play for Ahly again," he told FilGoal.com Friday night. "I would like to stress that I will keep doing my best with Ismaili. My statements were never meant to be offensive. I'm fully committed to Ismaili." El-Hadari, who is widely considered to be the best keeper in Egypt's history, landed at Ismaili in the close season after ending a 17-month spell with Swiss team Sion. He's been his usual brilliant self between the sticks this season, but he has expressed his concerns over Ismaili's unconvincing start to the season. He has been linked with several other clubs, including Sudanese side Al-Merreikh. El-Hadari was initially handed a four-month ban and a 900,000 euro fine for breaching his contract with Ahly in February 2008 to move to Sion, few days after helping Egypt win a record-extending sixth ACN title. The sanction was later frozen by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upon his appeal. A final verdict is yet to be returned. The Egypt ace has said more than once that he would like to rejoin Ahly, but the Egyptian champions remain determined not to bring him back after his acrimonious exit.
