THE Global Education for All Initiative, which aims to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults by 2015, has been launched in six cities in Egypt. The UNESCO Cairo Office has celebrated the EFAGlobal Action Week by advocating for the major initiative related themes of relevance to Egypt, in co-operation with UNICEF Egypt, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education in Egypt. These three partners are leading a campaign, which started on April 26 and ends on May 4 using an innovative approach of touring six of Egypt's governorates in a mobile school bus. The selected governorates are a representation of a wide array of education activities and geographical specificity. They are as follows: Cairo, Menofiya, Alexandria, Minya, Sohag and Assiut. The campaign targets stakeholders in education including Government, civil society, educators, teachers, communities, parents and learners, to raise awareness and urgency for the achievement of "Education for All" by 2015 under the overall theme of "Let's Go To School."
