3D home theatre systems coming to Middle East
Published in The Egyptian Gazette on 13 - 04 - 2010

PANASONIC'S new range of Full HD 3D products will soon bring a new era of immersive visual entertainment to Middle East homes, by creating a 3D experience that easily rivals the best that can be seen in cinemas, say regional executives.
The company will launch a complete line of fully-featured Full HD 3D VIERA Plasma HDTVs, 3D BD players and 3D Eyewears to give you the best picture playback.
Having first demonstrated the technology during Dubai's GITEX 2009, where thousands of Middle East consumers had the opportunity to experience Panasonic's Full HD 3D.
“Smart consumers will wait for our new Full Time Full HD 3D Viera TVs; the technology is that different from anything they will have experienced before,” said Abby Thomas, Senior Manager, consumer electronics department, Panasonic Middle East.
This picture quality in these televisions is only possible with Panasonic Neo PDP Plasma Technology. VIERA 3D plasma televisions will have the highest contrast ratio of five Million: one allowing consumers to benefit from extreme depth and the realitism of the picture. This technology totally eliminates image retention, with high speed picture processing where Plasma advantage is guaranteed, say manufacturers.
The new models reduce power consumption by 36 per cent and with demonstrated “eco ideas” commitment to minimise the impact of its products on the environment, all new Full HD 3D plasma panels are designed with an effective screen half-life of 100,000 hours, or over 30 years of TV viewing, eight hours per day. To cut toxic waste when the television does reach the end of its life, all models are manufactured without using mercury or lead.
