CAIRO - According to the Higher Election Commission (HEC) results of party lists in the first phase of parliamentary elections showed that the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party is leading with 3,565,092 votes, Middle East News Agency reported on Sunday. . The ultra-conservative Salafist Al-Nour Party ranked second, collecting 2,371,713 votes, followed by the Egyptian Bloc which snatched 1,299,819 votes. The Liberal Al-Wafd Party came in the fourth place, gaining 690,819 votes, while Al-Wasat (Middle) Party got the fifth place with 415,059 votes. The sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth places went to Alliance of Revolution, Development and Reform Party, Egypt National Party, Freedom Party and Justice Party respectively.
