CAIRO - An Israeli political source said he hoped a deal would be concluded with Egypt this week for the release of Israeli spy Ilan Grapel, who was arrested in Egypt after the January revolution. He added that contacts are maintained between the two sides to this effect, the official Middle East News Agency reported. Israeli Radio 'Voice of Israel' said on Sunday that Egyptian Foreign Ministry asked its Ambassador in Israel Yasser Reda to represent the Egyptian side in talks regarding the deal. An Egyptian senior official said that Egyptian efforts have managed to increase the number of Egyptian prisoners exchanged with Grapel from 20 to 30 in addition to three children detained in Israeli prisons.
