CAIRO - The Central Authority for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), Egypt's statistics authority, yesterday declared that around 20.4 per cent of young people under the age of 29 are unemployed, adding that there are 19 million Egyptians aged between 18 and 29. "In 2010, a total of 26.8 per cent of male university graduates aged between 18 and 29 were unemployed, while 55.1 per cent of females in the same category were also unemployed," read a report by CAPMAS, released on World Youth Day. The report added that young people in the age group represented 51.9 per cent of Egypt's manpower.
