CAIRO - President Hosni Mubarak cast his vote in a Heliopolis school Sunday morning as Egypt started balloting in parliamentary elections. Mubarak and First Lady Suzanne Mubarak cast their votes in Heliopolis, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. It added that the President was received upon his arrival at the polling station in Misr el-Gadida school with Safwat el-Sherif, secretary general of the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) and Minister of Interior Habib el-Adly. "Mubarak looks forward to a better future for Egypt and a full respect for Egyptians' will," el-Sherif said after casting his ballot in Qasr el-Nil constituency. The election in which 508 seats are at stake, including 64 reserved for women, may offer a foretaste of how the Government conducts the crucial presidential election.
