Cairo - Gamal Mubarak, the son of President Hosni Mubarak, has denied he pursues a personal political ambition, saying he is only interested in helping bring about change in Egypt. "My aim is to continue working and encouraging new leaders to get engaged in the public political work and contribute to the change process under way in Egypt," Gamal, a senior politician in the ruling party, told Egyptian State TV Thursday night. Opposition has claimed that Gamal, a Western-educated banker-turned-politician, is being groomed to succeed his father. Both Mubaraks have vehemently denied such claims. Mubarak, who has been in power for 30 years, has yet to say if he will seek a sixth term.
