CAIRO, Oct 5, 2018 (MENA) – Egyptian Tourism Minister Rania el Mashat met with the visiting delegation of the Italian Catholic Church, headed by Archbishop Luigi Vari, to discuss the Route of the Holy Family in Egypt project. In a press release, the ministry said that Mashat hailed the deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Italy, noting that Egypt paid great attention to increasing the number of Italian tourists visiting Egypt. She also reviewed the ministry's plan to develop and promote the Route of the Holy Family in Egypt project. The minister also described Pope Francis' visit to Egypt as successful, adding that Egypt received a number of groups who wanted to follow the steps of the Holy Family in the country. Meanwhile, head of the delegation hailed the Egyptian-Italian relations and said he was happy to visit a number of archaeological sites in Egypt including religious ones.
