CAIRO, Oct 1, 2018 (MENA) - Border guards foiled the smuggling of 72kg of heroin along the country's southern borders, Military Spokesman Tamer Refai said Monday. Border guards received intelligence information that drug dealers are going to smuggle a shipment of drugs into the country through the southern borders, the spokesman said. The border guards began detecting those elements and seized a 4×4 vehicle laden with 72 kg of heroin before entering the country, he said. Border guards continue striking blows to criminal elements and smugglers seeking to harm the country's national security, the spokesman said.
