CAIRO, August 23, 2018 (MENA) - Minister of Transport Hisham Arafat said that seven major axes are being implemented on the River Nile in Upper Egypt to link main roads western and eastern the Nile. In a statement on Thursday, Arafat said that these axes, which include a group of bridges, save time, fuel consumption and transport cost. The Ministry of Transport pays special attention to developing Upper Egypt by setting a plan to establish new road network in it to contribute to linking new industrial and urban communities. The axes are to be implemented in the governorates of Sohag, Aswan, Qena, Minya, Assiut and Beni Suef.
