CAIRO, August 18, 2018 (MENA) – Cairo hospitals were put on high alert to deal with all emergencies and receive patients in the holiday of Eidul Adha, Governor Atef Abdel Hamid asserted. All doctors and nursing staff were informed to abide by the working plan during the four-day Islamic holiday of Eidul Adha, he added. The governor called for conducting the necessary maintenance of all medical devices and making sure the provision of all medicines and medical supplies. For his part, Moustafa Ghoneim, the deputy head of Cairo's health affairs directorate, announced that all vacations for all doctors and health supervisors were canceled. Some 191 mobile ambulances will be available in the Eid holiday, he said. Muslims around the world will celebrate the religious holiday of Eidul Adha - the Feast of Sacrifice from Tuesday, August 21 to Friday, August 25. On Monday, August 20, white-clad pilgrims will ascend Mount Arafat as part of Hajj rituals. Eidul Adha and Eidul Fitr are the two most important religious holidays of the Islamic calendar.
