KHARTOUM, August 2, 2018 - Sudan confirmed Wednesday that there is key co-operation with Egypt in various fields, support at joint gatherings and strong strategic partnership, especially in economy, trade and investment. The Sudanese Minister of State in the Ministry of International Co-operation, Hussein el-Sherif el-Hendi, made the statement during a meeting with the Egyptian ambassador in Khartoum, Osama Shaltout. Discussions during the meeting covered the preparations for holding the higher Egyptian-Sudanese committee meeting in Khartoum in October. In a statement to the Middle East News Agency (MENA) in Khartoum, the Egyptian ambassador said that plans were also discussed for holding a meeting of senior officials and experts from both countries to prepare for the higher committee meeting, and to put into effect the strategic partnership document which was signed in the first round of talks in Cairo.
